SUMMARY:New Media and Old Media: Research Challenges Emerging Findings and Future Policy Directions
DESCRIPTION:TIP and the Media and Politics group are organising a workshop (if you remember from our August newsletter grant announcement!). This will take place at the Friends Meeting House 173-177 Euston Road\, London\, NW1 2BJ on Thursday 19th January. This event will be a space for researchers and policy actors to come together to share ideas\, reflect on the relationship between research and policy and to build new relationships. \nTravel bursaries will be available for ECRs and under represented groups. SUMMARY:Technology\, Internet and Politics Panel Streams at the PSA’s 2022 Conference
DESCRIPTION:The PSA Technology\, Internet\, and Policy Group (TIP) invites members to join us our inaugural Technology\, Internet\, and Policy panel streams at the PSA Annual International Conference 2022. \n\n\n\nThe theme of the conference is Politics from the Margins. Papers and panels may be on any topic within the remit of the group. They will be considered on merit and their fit with other proposals submitted. We especially welcome submissions that reflect the diversity of the profession and those researching the Global South. We also highly encourage submissions from early career researchers and PhD students. Please note this is a hybrid conference – some events will take place on site\, remotely\, or in a hybrid environment. \n\n\n\nTo celebrate the establishment of TIP\, there will be a launch event at the conference in York. The specialist group was informally launched just three months ago\, but already 145 new members have joined our group. We are in the first steps of planning several interesting workshops and conferences in 2022\, but we want to take the opportunity to hear more from you about what events you’d like to see.\n\nWe are therefore organising an “Open Forum” event on March 3rd\, 2022 from 2pm to 4 pm.
